Switch it OFF

Tempting though it may be, frantically rebooting or repeatedly switching your device on and off can make the situation worse, and ultimately reduce the chances of successfully recovering your valuable data. To limit the potential for further damage, leading to further data loss, stay calm, cut the power to your device and leave it switched off.
