Securely Destroying Your Data

We Comply With UK Government ‘Enhanced’ Security Standards

We Use Your Data to:

• Enable us to provide the service(s) requested
• Help us improve the quality of the services we offer
• Inform you about changes to our services, or new services that may be of interest
• Carry out day-to-day administrative tasks necessary to run our company

When the purpose for which Your Data was originally generated or acquired by us no longer applies, we destroy it, securely and permanently:

• We comply with UK Government National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) ‘enhanced’ security standards (for details please see ’Secure Data Destruction’)
• Confidential paper documents are shredded on-site and electronic data is permanently destroyed using a three-pass verified overwrite software protocol
• We issue ‘Data Destruction Certificates’ and prior to resale of any hard drive, we remove all identifying markings
• We also perform a custom overwrite which means that any hard drive we have processed can be traced back to us, not to our customer

In the event that data cannot be destroyed, or identifying markings cannot be removed, we destroy the drive itself, securely and permanently:

• We use hardware that meets NCSC ‘higher-level’ security standards
• Drives we have destroyed are fully recycled (98% recovery and 0% to landfill) by an Approved Authorised Treatment Facility (for details please see ‘Hard Drive Destruction and Recycling’)
